Christian & Ashlyn

A Classically Beautiful Military Wedding

When you think of elegant weddings, this is the kind of wedding you think of.  Military and navy blues, creams, golds, periwinkles and pinks all against gorgeous autumn scenery.  Lace and diamonds, all of Ashlyn's details were soft and elegant.  I loved the traditional and classic charm that their wedding had.  Christian and Ashyln's love for one another can clearly been seen and felt in all their photos.  It's always fun to see a couple get down and have a ball together at their reception, too!

Ashyln and I hit it off right away especially when we both found out each other's love for the show Friends (I mean who doesn't quote Friends lines at least 5 times a day, right?).  I was so super excited to see that her cake topper was Friends inspired and read "You're My Lobster."  Then, as an added bonus and surprise, her brother (who performed the ceremony) started the ceremony by saying, "We are gathered here today on this joyous occasion to celebrate the special love that Ashyln and Christian share.  It is a love based on giving and receiving...as well as having and sharing.  And the love that they give and have is shared and received.  And through this having and giving...and sharing and receiving...we too can share and love and have and receive."  It may have been the greatest ceremony of all time.

The bridesmaids were elegant and classic in long, fitted black gowns.  The color scheme was black, white and blush.Their first dance was after sunset and was lit by sparklers being held by their guests surrounding them.  It was breathtaking.

Ashyln and Christian wedding was truly everything you would want it to be...beautiful, fun, elegant yet relaxed, filled with laughs and with a lot, a lot of love.  Another different thing about this wedding was that the couple wanted me to have only black & white pictures. It was a different challenge for me but I loved it. Enjoy!

Khadija & Shujat

Elegance and Regal are the two words that come to mind when thinking of Khadija and Shujat’s wedding. We have done several wedding ranging from Sweet and Somber to full-fledge “Dhamaka” (crazy fun-filled). Khadija and Shujat’s wedding was nothing short of Royal Elegance and Simplicity. Not only was the bride beyond gorgeous both inside and out, the groom was nothing short of a fairytale Prince.

Sonia and I were mostly in contact with Khadijah’s family, who treated us with so much affection and respect. Becoming part of the family, being able to assist them with last minute changes, giving advice and sometimes even changing plans altogether to make the wedding more efficient allows us to build a very personal relationship with the families. Sometimes we feel like we are literally family members, which is how Khadija’s family made us feel.

It was so much fun directing and “negotiating” poses with the bride and groom. By negotiating, I mean we had to convince the camera-shy groom to take pictures with any sort of “filmy” agenda. Needless to say, once we got the groom on board...with some help from the bride, the pictures turned out to be stunning. Have a look and let us know what you think!
